Your mind is quite a complex thing. But just like any other tool, there are almost always ways to make it work more efficiently. Let me show you how to improve mind power by implementing just a few steps.
Your first step needs to be getting enough sleep. James Maas, author of Power Sleep, says that Americans are sleep deprived and get less than 6 hours of sleep per night on average. He also explains that napping can help you maintain the alertness that you have in the morning. Try taking a 15 to 20 power nap when you start to feel worn out around mid day.
You can try to improve mind power through yoga and relaxation techniques. Many experts say that calming your mind through yoga will allow you to think more clearly throughout the rest of the day. Plus, yoga and relaxation techniques like deep breathing will lower your heart rate and deliver oxygen to your blood in a much more healthy amount which will make it work more efficiently.
You could also try feeding your brain what it really wants. A great brain food is one that has a lot of protein. Proteins are the building blocks many kinds of tissue in your body, so make sure that you get a lot of them. Your brain will run much better when it is being fed lots of vitamins also. Specifically B and D vitamins which help with the circulatory system and the creation of new brain cells, respectively.
Some people can also improve mind power by simply keeping their mind engaged throughout the day. If you are sitting in front of the television all day long, your mind will not be stimulated. So pick up the daily newspaper and read it. All of that new information will stimulate your mind.
