What are the Top Foods To Improve Memory Retention?
You may not think that you can increase your memory retention simply by changing up what you eat. However, there are many foods that improve memory. By supplementing a healthy diet with the foods mentioned here, you will quickly notice that your concentration and memory retention have become sharper.
Start with antioxidants. These are molecules that prevent other molecules from oxidizing, a process which can damage surrounding cells. Antioxidants promote healthy circulatory and immune systems, allowing the brain a sufficient supply of the oxygen it needs to operate at maximum capacity. In 2007 the Journal of Neuroscience published a study that showed Omega-3 fatty acids were responsible for removing certain proteins in the brain known to cause poor memory. You can supplement your diet with Omega-3 fatty acids by including fish like salmon and mackerel.
If you want to include foods that improve memory retention, start by creating a healthy diet plan with a licensed dietician to include meat, fish, eggs and cereals. This combined with regular exercise will stimulate your memory and send oxygen rich blood to your brain.
