We have all certainly had to undergo some kind of testing throughout in the course of our life. Many of us wish that we were better suited to perform on test. This is especially true of teenagers and young adults who are still taking high school or college classes.

The first thing that you should try to do is to get healthy. I know that physical fitness is basically crammed down our throat for the first 20 years of out lives, but get ready because doctors and other experts will continue to tell you that a healthy body is the key to a successful life. This goes for test scores as well.
Recent studies published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences journal in November of 2009 show that cardiovascular fitness is highly correlated to academic performance. Muscular strength was not shown to have any effect, but cardiovascular fitness was linked to higher intelligence test scores.
You should also look at your diet. Many younger people are hooked on a diet of caffeine and junk food. This is probably the worst combination for mind development possible. You brain needs lots of protein to grow stronger. Caffeine, while able to give you short bursts of energy and concentration, tends to cloud the mind and bog you down when you are in a testing situation.
Try to add what doctors call ‘whole foods’ to your diet. Whole foods are fruits and vegetables that contain vitamins and minerals that will help you develop a healthy brain. Try eat bananas for breakfast and snack on veggies throughout the day.
